Karsten Krogh-Hansen (b. 1997, Oslo, NOR) is a painter based in Antwerp, Belgium. His practice explores the relationship between images, memory, and materiality through painting. Images sourced from digital platforms, popular culture, historical references, and everyday observations, serve as loose points of departure for works in which the painting process gradually transforms and displaces the original image. Through processes of translation, repetition, and recontextualization, his work investigates how images shift in meaning as they move between different cultural and material contexts. Krogh-Hansen holds an MFA from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Europe and the USA, most recently in his solo exhibition Something Spinning at de boer, Antwerp, 2025.
